Personal Success Plan: Creating an Adulting Roadmap

Challenge your students to create a roadmap for their future with the Personal Success Plan activity! Designed for high school students and easily adapted for adult learners, this project guides students through developing a detailed plan for their adult life. The Personal Success Plan addresses key areas like:

  • Strengths and interests

  • Career goals

  • Education and training

  • Personal finances

  • Heath and fitness

  • Housing and transportation, and more!

Using an easy-to-follow Google Slides or PowerPoint template, students will answer prompts and explore questions that guide them in setting personal goals and planning for their future.

Once completed, students can present their Personal Success Plan to the class. This presentation provides an excellent opportunity to practice public speaking skills and receive feedback from peers, teachers, counselors, administrators, or any other guests you invite!

For students with individualized plans, this project is an excellent tool that they can share during IEP or 504 meetings, providing a concrete starting point for transition planning and future support.
